EcoMAP is comprehensive GIS database for Canada. It contains a diverse set of environmental and socio-economic data layers which have all been aggregated to the Canadian ecosystem framework (terrestrial and marine). It has data at the Ecozone, Ecoprovince and Ecoregion levels. The EcoMAP database has been used to generate new data for Canada such as the current risk to biodiversity, protected forest areas Coniferous habitat distribution models and more. EcoMAP analysis is available to our clients to address any number of ecological information requirements. Contact us for more detail on the EcoMAP database and how GIS analysis might help you.
Spatial analysis and modelling of ecological data and information at local, national and continental scales.
A detailed environmental site history can often go back 50 years. Archival remotely sensed data (satellite or airphotos) are acquired for analysis. These data are processed using specialized visual and digital techniques to map all possible source of contamination that have been on the site throughout the study time frame.
These historical site maps are used to guide a ground crew to areas of environmental contamination and complete a comprehensive Phase I report.
10 lessons that explore the geography of Canada based on Ecozones. 4 lessons that explore global issues.
