  GPS Gas Protection Systems Inc (GPSI) main product compromises a microprocessor-managed analog data acquisition board capable of handling up to eight input channels per unit. Each input can be fitted with several different sensors or tranducers, therefore being able to monitor and quantify a wide spectrum of environmental and physical variables. This gives the ability to make sophisticated decisions based on more than one sensor and is sometimes called data fusion Each unit is equipped with an industry standard RJ-45 interface port, enabling daisy-chained topologies, rendering a flexible and customizable distributed-computing network. This arrangement also allows throughout cabling at low-voltage potentials A seperate PC compatible RS-232 port enables standard computers to interact with the boards and support remote data logging or any other centralized processing. The product can be adapted to use directional wireless technology for monitoring extended runways, railway infrastructure and long stretches of highways Output drives are used to control gas valve shutting solenoids, set off alarms or operate almost any conventional electromechanical device An on-board three digit numeric display and several LED's allow the observer to monitor each individual unit state and performance. As on-board components are all solid-state, arcing from conventional relays are eliminated, making the unit by definition, explosion proof. Operation assurance is granted by a power-up routine that verifies, tests, zero's and recalibrates all critical components. If required, an uninterruptible battery-sourced power supply can be installed to keep the system at 100 percent availability rate These units operate completely under software imbedded in the EPROM of each microprocessor chip. This architecture allows for a high degree of flexibility and customization with no hardware modifications required. It can even be done remotely and demands minimal user training. The standard configuration for Model GP3000 series (ENVIRO SENTRY 24/7) provides sensors for measuring combustible gases, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxygen, temperature, barometric pressure and an infra-red airborne particle detector for fire alarm. All these features and a very competitive price tag assures this system to be a front runner in the market.
