DURA PRODUCTS, a young company with an old history.
Dura Products, a Canadian company, began manufacturing in 1981, as a subsidiary of Continental Emsco, a Dallas-based bottom hole pump manufacturer. Emsco was established in 1908 to produce deep hole rod pumping equipment for Daniels and Burgess and was the first company to manufacture mechanical hold-downs, honed barrel tubes, stainless steel seats and chrome plated plungers, now all considered industry standards. In 1995, Dura products acquired Continental Emsco's entire Engineering library including blueprints and materials specifications. This has enabled Dura Products to manufacture a complete line of Bottom Hole Pump products, which also includes stuffing boxes, rod couplings, well head pressure regulators and upset polished rods. It is with tradition that Dura Products manufactures the D&B and Continental Emsco product lines.
Dura Products markets through CE Franklin in Canada at 36 locations in the Wester Oil Basin, and markets the world wide from its facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. It also operates a Sales office and an Engineering office in Calgary, Alberta.
Dura Products, and API manufacturer. As an API certified manufacturer Dura Products builds its bottom hole pump components to the API quality standard of Q1. This also ensures that Dura Products API parts are gully interchangeable with other API manufacturers.
Using the latest technology in CNC lathes, Dura Products can produce single and multiple runs of parts and fittings. This provides maximum flexibility to meet the oil industries demanding requirements.
Components are manufactured from standard steels or specialty materials such as ASTM 8620, 304 and 316 stainless steel, Monel, Admiralty Brass and Conifer 1924 HMO, to meet your specific oil well needs.

Dura Products, the manufacturing plant...
Dura Products operates from a 20, 800 ft facility, located in the McIntyre Industrial park situated on the east side of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The plant houses the Accounting, Engineering, Shipping and Receiving departments and five 2, 3, and 4 axis CNC lathes a centre less grinder, two metallizing lines, a cold rolled multi-Head threader, a mill, two extra long bed hones, wheelabraitor and heat treating ovens.
The operating staff lives in the Swift Current area and the personnel are Journeymen qualified, Mechanists and Welders. Several are dual ticketed. All are cross trained on the equipment to maximize efficiency. The Quality Assurance department is in the plant and is fully equipped with gages, test benches, and auditing systems as required by both API Q1 and ISO 9001. All manufactured components are fully traceable form the smelter to the end product.
The Engineering department is equipped to produce, analyse and re-engineer components as required by today's changing materials and well conditions. New rod pump designs are constantly being developed and released for production. New products are also being introduced to help the operator in reducing cost and increasing production.
