At its Welland Plant in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Cytec Canada Inc. operates the only phosphine (PH3) and phosphine derivatives plant in North America. It is the largest of only three such plants in the world and produces the most diverse range of phosphine-based products. These products are used, for example, in mining and solvent extraction applications, as durable textile flame retardants and intermediates for catalysts, phosphonium salts and UV photo initiators

Phosphine derivatives are produced under ISO 9001: 2000 certification. Cytec Canada Inc. is a member of the CCPA, the Niagara Falls Chamber of Commerce and as is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cytec Industries Inc., West Paterson, N. J.
