Crone Geophysics develops, manufactures and offers surveys using time domain electromagnetic PEM equipment and techniques. This three dimensional sensing method is used on the surface and in drill holes to locate and define mineral deposits at considerable depth or distance from the sensors. It is widely used to locate base metals such as copper, nickel, lead and zinc, and geological environments conducive to the concentration of precious metals including gold. The company works world-wide from its head office in Canada or through strategic alliances in Australia, Chile, Saudi Arabia, Peru, China, Spain and Morocco. Expansion is desired in other areas. Clients include the major multi-national mining companies, junior mining companies and government geological surveys divisions. Major activities are in Labrador, Canada (Voisey's Bay), Australia, Pakistan, and the North west Territories, and the continuing development of the technology. Crone is a member of Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society, Northwest Mining Association, and the Canadian Mining Equipment and Services for Export (CAMESE).
