Contor Terminals is a global market leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing steel portable enclosures and cabinets for several industries. Established in 1976, the thirteen acre Mississauga (Ontario, Canada) based operation facilitates a fully integrated plant with areas for custom installation, as well as, testing of powered systems. The corporate thinking is to provide a turn-key service based on a customers exact requirements.
The companys origins are rooted to 1855. Founded by William Hendrie, The Hendrie Capital Corporation built its credibility on being the oldest cartage and trucking business in North America. The firm rapidly expanded from the outgrowth of the railroad as an official agent for the Great Western Railway and the Grand Trunk Railway. Gradually, after World War 1, Hendrie converted from a fleet of horse drawn wagons to heavy-duty motor trucks.
After a century of a change and growth, the corporation is a highly profitable firm privately owned by Provincial Capital Corp. In addition to Contor Portable Buildings, the company owns Provincial Trailer Rentals (PTR) which, operates a fleet of more than 5, 000 trucks, trailers and domestic intermodal containers.
As it was over a century ago, anticipating its customer's future needs, is paramount to the success of Contor's business relationship. Providing solutions to meet those needs is the company's mission.
