Benefit from the experience that has made Comptrol a leading manufacturer of weighing and yield management systems worldwide. The Bulkamatic 47SH Series is an innovative, NTEP approved legal-fortrade bulk receiving or load-out scale that offers an outstanding combination of accuracy, reliability and value. The system is unique because it is NTEP approved without an upper garner or a lower surge hopper. That means the upper garner and lower surge can be factory supplied, customer fabricated or retrofitted with existing bins to suit specific installation needs or to accommodate difficult or awkward locations.
Benefits include:

Our New, Interface design allows our Scales and Yield Management Technology to be integrated into your PLC system.
The data exchanged between the two systems is grouped into three categories:
Updates of Live Data; Commands; Report Data.
Updates of Live Data:
Data collected by the scale, and maintained on the Yield Management System is updated on a periodic basis. The Yield Management System will inform the PLC as the new data becomes available. The PLC is then able to access this data.
Commands:
The PLC is able to set certain parameters in the Yield Management System by issuing commands. The PLC provides the Yield Management System with data indicating the commands) to be performed along with associated parameters. The Yield Management System will perform the commands (and return success or failure indications) to the PLC. Note that several commands can be executed at the same time (only one of each command type).
Report Data:
The Yield Management System maintains a number of reports that are available to the PLC. The PLC can obtain the reports at any time by issuing a request for the appropriate report.
To the PLC, the Yield Management System appears as an I/O rack available on the Remote I/O network.
Customized display of Live Data Once connected, via the 'Blue Hose, ' the live feedback and commands typically associated with the screen and keyboard of a Yield Management System, are logically laid out in an interactive format as a 'virtual' or 'simulated' I/O rack. The PLC application designer can choose how to display the information for the operator, and solicit necessary commands with a philosophy consistent with the other aspects of control and data acquisition for the mill.
Commands can be customized to meet your particular needs.

Setting new standards for accurate and reliable loss-in-weight flow control.
The Feedamatic 67 Series is designed for flow control applications in critical areas of your process such as; the single controlled input to your entire process; incorporating multiple units for continuous blending; or both. It delivers a continuous, reliable and uninterrupted flow of free-flowing granular material. The flow is maintained at exactly the rate set by the operator, regardless of changes in material characteristics. This unerring accuracy is crucial at the start of the milling process in order to maintain precise material flow control throughout the entire mill. That makes the 67 Series ideal for applications such as ahead of the cleaning house or first-break rolls, or for precise continuous blending. For maximum installation flexibility, the scales require up to 44 percent less headroom than competitive units.
Benefits include:
weights and/or moisture levels
dumping
through any combination of a MillView Yield Management Instrument, BlendView Blending Control Instrument, or Allen-Bradley PLC
system
allows addition of water or other ingredients to be automatically fed at a rate proportional to the weighed stream
position, allowing the discharge gate to be operated manually
Measuring the change in material flow momentum to deliver superior weight-based flow control over impact feeders.
The Momentum 25 measures the actual material flow, totalizes it, and continuously adjusts the flow rate to maintain operator or host computer selected flow rate setpoint within +0.5 to +1% of full scale.
Instead of conventional impact measurement using a flat deflection plate, the Momentum 25 determines the flow by measuring the sum of forces necessary to redirect the incoming material flow from near vertical to near horizontal - a change in momentum measurement. This re-direction is accomplished by utilizing a unique curved chute which precisely guides the exiting material to a known and consistent angle. This principal overcomes the imprecise and scattered results achieved with impact plates.
In the Momentum 25 design, the curved chute and a precise sensor mechanism incorporating an LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transducer) measures force only in the horizontal direction. Vertical forces, including the weight of the chute and the material in it, are mechanically eliminated. This precise force measurement (momentum change) coupled with a reliable re-direction angle results in more accurate flow control & measurement.
As well, the weight-based design of the Momentum 25 eliminates the inherent errors of volumetric feeding since weight-based accuracy is unaffected by varying bushel weights or moisture content.
Benefits include:
greater reliability
allows convenient centralized recipe-based control using
BlendView or your PLC-based control
The Sumantic 36 Series features the kind of design innovation that has helped make Comptrol a leading manufacturer of weighing and yield management systems worldwide. It provides an extremely accurate and reliable method for continuous in-process weighing of product accumulation and monitoring of flow rate for maximizing the consistency and yield of a wide range of granular and/or powder products. These sophisticated units are half the size of conventional in-process weighers while still providing the same throughput capacity. As well, no bulky garner hopper is required.
Benefits include:
times-per-second improve accuracy and virtually eliminate measuring errors due to floor vibrations and air pulses
fails, lower gate moves to the open position, preventing damaging upstream chokes
initial investment; minimizes maintenance
addition of ingredients to be automatically fed at a rate proportional to the weighed stream

The New MillView Yield Management Instrument is a microprocessor based device based on Comptrol's Extraction/Split Monitor (E/SM). MillView provides live data in detailed graphs and reports to help the miller control, monitor, and improve profitability and consistency in the milling process. Used in conjunction with Comptrol's 8830 series of SMART Scale Controllers, MillView lets you see what is happening in your mill.
MillView has been designed with the user in mind and in keeping with Comptrol's philosophy of 'Innovation Made Simple.' A large 6' x 4', high resolution, flat screen display, a comprehensive keypad consisting of 38 intuitively labeled keys, and a high speed thermal printer are all built into one panel for easy use. MillView fits into Comptrol's standard Card Cage and Cabinet (CCC) and is also available in Stand Alone Configuration (SAC).
MillView is a highly enhanced version of our original E/SM and, like the E/SM, allows for:
flour streams and/or between all by-product streams
grade and bin information
alarms for all pre-configured scales
MillView's enhanced capabilities and functionality set a new standard for mill instrumentation. The key to the increased capabilities and functionality of MillView is its detailed, graphical display. The display is divided into two windows. Each window displays a different set of user selectable information at all times. The upper window always gives you a continuous view to both cleaning house extraction and mill unit extraction. This view can show live trend graphs for the last 2 or 24 hours. With the upper window to your mill and cleaning house providing a graphic, the lower window can be used for a variety of mill monitoring functions, all accessible by pushing single button.
The functions include:
Overview:
Displays a detailed chart summarizing data for each scale. For each scale in the system (e. g., Wheatto-roll, Patent, 1st Clears, Midds, Shorts, and Bran) the chart displays live:
by-products
While viewing the scale overview, a single key will provide a detailed flow graph for any stream.
Reports:
Displays a listing of reports available for printing, including production run, shift, daily and monthly. The user just highlights the report needed, and it prints out in a matter of seconds. The large display clearly identifies the print options available to the user to simplify the report printing process.
Change Production:
The user is able to set up the next production run in advance through this view. The change can be as simple as starting a new run on the patent stream (or even setting a production target into a bin), or as comprehensive as switching the mill from hard wheat to soft.
Alarms:
Displays a summary screen giving a chronological history of all alarm messages, giving the user the option of printing the list as desired. Alarms now include yield or extraction rate alarms, and rate of change alarms.
Trending:
At any time, the user can display (in the lower window) a continuously updated flow rate graph for each scaled stream similar to the extraction graphs on the upper window. This is a useful tool in identifying the cause of a changing extraction rate. Through this same window, the user can then cycle through a series of live graphs showing flow rates of each scale to quickly isolate the source of the change and thereby correct the problem.
Administration:
Displays a menu of set-up items that can only be accessed by a special 4-digit user defined password.
It allows the user to do the following:
names.
Additional Features:
data
Available soon is a PC compatible link to MillView allowing IBM-PC users to access the same information and reports available to the miller, from their offices.
