Cleghorn & Associates Environmental Management Strategy provided consulting advisory services to the Colombian Ministry of the Environment and regional bodies in the development of an implementation plan for air quality enhancement in the Sogamoso valley, an industrial corridor, located near the Venezuelan border, in the north-east of Colombia.

Cleghorn & Associates include a group of experienced environmental trainers in areas such as: multi-criteria decision making; pollution prevention and control; Canadian legislation; and environmental marketing strategies. This experience base has been used for upgrading skills for government and private sector professionals in Mexico, Colombia and India. Clients included ECOPETROL and the Minambiente, Colombia, the Caribbean Development Bank, CIDA and the World Bank.
In meeting the training needs for Latin American countries, Cleghorn & Associates have conducted extensive research on the environmental impacts of different industrial sectors in these countries, which has been recognized by invitations from the Universidad EAFIT, the Universidad de los Andes and the Mexican Academy of Engineering to give presentations on this research to graduate students and interested professionals.
