The Centre for Environmental Health, Department of Biology At the University of Victoria focuses multidisciplinary scientific research, education, outreach, and technology development on reconciling issues of human health and our environment. Particularly those issues concerning the impact and influence of genetic organization and expression on the health and genetic integrity of individuals, populations and species, including fresh water finfish and marine finfish. This will be done through:

The research core of the CEH encompasses four distinct yet highly integrated research disciplines:
genetics of human diseases; 3) the environmental application of biotechnology; and 4) molecular evolution, genomic research, and aquatic toxicology, and human cancer research.
