City of Lloydminster, AB/SK Horizon School Division No. 67 Battle River Regional Division No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate Regional Division No. 38 School districts and municipalities in Germany School district in Luxembourg
Our self-funding energy conservation programs for schools have saved over CDN $16.2 million in utility costs for schools in the last eleven years. Over this time period, our programs have also reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 44.4 million kg CO2e. All of these savings have occurred with no up-front costs paid by the participating school districts.
Our school division has been with the Carbon Busters program for almost a year. When deciding on what energy conservation program to go with, our school division gave consideration to ease of implementation in our schools. Not wanting to add extensive work to our schools and classroom teachers, program structure, support materials and curriculum alignment were important. Of the different programs looked at, Carbon Busters had a structure in place for program implementation that was sequential, clear and distributed the responsibility. The program had the best fit with Alberta Science curriculum at the elementary level and corresponding lessons that did not require extra work by our teachers. As well, CBI was accommodating, thorough and friendly throughout the time they inserviced schools on the use of the program.
The City of Lloydminster has had the pleasure to work with your company [Carbon Busters] on a number of energy audits for various facilities that we own and operate.
From the first meeting prior to award of the project we knew we were dealing with a client-oriented organization. We appreciate the time and effort spent by your entire [Carbon Busters] team ensuring that we were happy with the end project. This included detailed on-site reviews of each facility, in-depth analysis of energy consumption, on-site and follow-up review with staff and operators as well as a complete wrap-up presentation upon completion of the project.
Throughout the course of this project, CBI kept us informed and ensured they knew our complete requirements for this project.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending CBI to anyone that may be considering an energy audit of his or her facilities.

Carbon Busters has four LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Education) Accredited Professionals on staff. Because the best building efficiency can be realized in the design phase, green design is an important component in reducing utility costs over the building lifetime.
Carbon Busters provides detailed utility consumption monitoring and tracking. We establish consumption and greenhouse gas baselines using historical data and track current consumption through frequent meter readings. Carbon Busters also analyzes past billing records for accuracy and uses this information to predict savings potentials.
