STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS In March 2000, Braintech formed a Strategic Alliance with ABB Flexible Automation, a division of ABB Inc. Over the past two years, ABB and Braintech have found a niche in the automotive sector, specifically in the area of Powertrain manufacturing. Together, we have completed installations for TI Automotive, General Motors and recentlywon a multi-system contract for another major automaker. We are looking forward to escalating our strong alliance with ABB.
In August 2001, Braintech concluded a 'Memorandum of Understanding' with Marubeni Corporation, forming the basis of a long term relationship to work as Robotic Vision technology partners where Braintech will grant Marubeni an exclusive license for it's eVF software in Japan. Marubeni engineers will then be able to develop their own VGR solutions for the Japanese automakers.
