Alberta Sulphur Research (ASRL)is a non-profit sulfur research organization. It is supported by fifty-six members engaged directly or indirectly in the production, handling and transportation of elemental sulfur. More than ninety percent of Alberta's sulfur producing industries are active members of ASRL, as well as other organizations, with sulfur related interests in Canada, The United States, The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and The Netherlands. ASRL fosters research in the areas of chemistry and technology of sulfur and its compounds with particular emphasis on topics of importance to the sulfur and sour gas industry. ASRL serves as a contact point between industry and academia and strives to provide an expert level of technological support for both producers and users of this essential resource. In addition, ASRL is in a good position to provide training and R & D exposure for staff entering this field of research and technology.
