Retrofit of a diesel power plant at La Chorrera, Panama, including design, supply and installation of 102 silencers for the radiator coolers, absorptive barrier walls to reduce noise from the combustion inlets and cooler, acoustic enclosure around the engine exhaust duct, and other silencing measures. The plant is owned by NORESCO LLC and Dynegy/Illinova, USA.
Retrofit the Profertil SA nitrogen fertilizer plant in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, an equal partnership between Calgary-based Agrium Inc. and Repsol-YPF SA. The retrofit involved the design, supply, and installation of silencers, barriers and other silencing technologies to achieve a noise target of 45 dBA at 750 meters from the plant.
Acoustic retrofit of ten power units at four Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority power plants, involving the design and supply of the acoustic envelope, ventilation system, combustion exhaust silencers, and acoustic barriers.
Engineering design and materials supply of an acoustic building for a 24 MW diesel power station in Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island. The building was designed to meet a noise level of 63 dBA at 200 feet and withstand hurricane force winds.
The Spalding Energy Facility is an 860 MW gas-fired combined cycle power located in Lincolnshire, England. ATCO designed, supplied and installed the acoustical roof and wall panels and related ventilation silencing for the 426 foot (130m x 27m) long by 89 foot high turbine hall building. The contract also included the design, supply and installation of a variety of acoustical enclosures, shrouds and barriers around the heat recovery steam generator, ducts, transformers and condenser.
