The principal of AGS & Associates is Mr. Arthur G Schwartz. Mr. Schwartz is a retired senior naval officer who has commanded units (i. e., run companies); mentored to hundreds of aspiring senior officers in the military as a member of the directing staff of the Canadian Forces Staff College and; worked in the strategic policy planning directorate of the Department of National Defence. From 1986-1997 Mr. Schwartz worked for Litton Systems Canada (LSC) as first, marketing manager, then as senior marketing manager responsible for multiple product lines, and latterly as the Director of Business Development and Management at Litton's Halifax facility. Mr. Schwartz retired from LSC in Oct. 1997 and established AGS & Associates (AGS). AGS presently provides business development and business management services to a number of Canadian companies in Nova Scotia and one in the USA. AGS strength is its ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems in businesses large and small. While AGS experience is primarily in the aerospace sector, services have been supplied to the precision machining, auto accessory, and food services sectors. AG has a broad network of associates possessing experience in large scale project management, business plan development, quality management, marketing and business development, manufacturing, and government relations,

Experience:

Military. Thirty years of military command and staff experience. Organizing people and other resources, solving complex problems and developing and implementing solution plans, presenting compelling arguments, straightening out organizations that had gone astray, communicating and meeting with DND management at all levels.

Industrial. Eleven years with Litton Systems Canada Limited (LSC). LSC is a Canadian subsidiary of Litton Industries, a large aerospace and high technology company. Developed business plans for a number of business units in LSC. Managed four marketing managers. Chaired LSC Plan 2000 Marketing Committee. Grew LSC Halifax facility annual business over three years. Worked closely with federal and provincial government agencies.

Latterly, as AGS, provides business development and business management services for BG Technology of Downsview, ON and Dartmouth, NS and for Telephonics Corporation of Farmingdale, NY.

Carrying out business development surveys for NEOCON of Dartmouth, NS and two other small companies in Nova Scotia.

Carried out situational engagement analyses for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
