financial centre. Toronto is known for friendliness, safety, and
multiculturalism. From theatre, art galleries and museums to
restaurants and major league sports, Toronto has all of the
elements of a great city.
Two campusesYork University is made up of two campuses: the York
Campus in Toronto's north end, offers extensive modern
facilities, including 36 restaurants, a shopping mall, banks, a
medical and dental clinic, four libraries, art galleries,
threatres and a wide variety of festivals and cultural
activities. The Glendon Campus
(http://www.yorku.ca/faculty/glendon) is only minutes away

international student services. It organizes orientation
programs and workshops covering such topics as immigration,
financial aid, jobs on campus, international taxation, computer
skills, academic success, and Canadian culture.

challenges you may face in adjusting to life in Canada. A club
for international students arranges social activities including
special holiday dinners, ski days, and canoe trips.
Students in degree programs can get extra help at the English as
a Second Language Tutoring Centre and take ESL courses that
count towards your degree.
