Water Treatment chemicals are used to prevent corrosion, heat tansfer surfaces fouling and improved productivity. Water treatment is a very profitable industry. Ultra Violet units are never recommended WITHOUT first determining the Ultra Violet Transmittance (UVt) quality of the weter. Effectively consulted on behalf of the owners for 2 major office (800, 000 - 1, 000, 00 sq. ft.)buildinges recently constructed within the GTA. Monitored on behalf of the owner the activity of the mechanical contractor and the water treatment supplier with respect to the design specification. Many deficiencies where detected and resolved to the owners benefit. Designed and supervised the presentation and issuance of a 'Water Treatment Specification' for 2 large Ontario facilities, 1 - for a process plant and the other for a commercial operation. In both cases the bids were reviewed against a spread sheet that considered several items other than 'price/kg.'
