For over 60 years, WGPC (Wood Group Pressure Control Canada, Inc) has supplied the petroleum industry with reliable, innovative and affordable oilfield equipment. WGPC, headquartered in a modern 73, 000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta Canada manufactures three product lines: Wellhead, Safety Systems (ESDs) and Rigsavers.

WGPC's Wellhead division is capable of producing a complete line of API wellhead equipment in all pressure ranges up to 15, 000 psi and all sizes up to 21 1/4' in PSL -1 through 4 in both PR1 and PR2.

WGPC's Safety Equipment Division specializes in hydraulic, self-contained emergency valve safety shut down systems for most valve makers direct and reverse acting gate valves and for quarter turn ball valves. Other products manufactured are Pigging Valves, Presco - Pilots, Presco - Switches, Presco - Isolaton Valves, Lev-O-Matic (liquid level control switches), RigSavers (Emergency air shutoff valve for all makes of diesel engines)

• Lev-o-matic

  The Lev-O-Matic opens and closes electrical switches in response to variations in low and high pressure fluid heads corresponding to liquid levels in storage tanks in order to start or stop pump motors.

• Rigsaver

  A compact engine air intake shutdown device that protects engines from airborne hydrocarbons that present a threat to controlled diesel and gasoline engine operation. These hydrocarbons may be drawn into the air intake system causing the engine to accelerate out of control with the attendant risk of explosion and fire.

• Safety Systems - Pigging Valve

  A safe means of inserting and retrieving pig balls, combined in a reliable flow line block valve. The Barber pigging valve is available in a wide range of sizes, pressure ratings and trims.

• Safety Systems - Presco-hydraulic Self Contained Ssv/Scssv Control System

  A compact, hydraulic self-contained control system that provides positive actuation control of surface and surface controlled sub- surface safety valves. Presco Controllers are available to provide self-contained hydraulic control of a wide variety of SSV's and SCSSV's.

• Safety Systems- Presco Flex Pneumatic Surface Safety Valve

  A pneumatically powered gate valve actuation system with a positive spring return action. Presco-flex actuation systems utilize a rolling diaphragm, which provides frictionless, leak- free operation. The Presco-flex is suited to a wide range of applications and extreme temperature ranges.

• Safety Systems- Presco Isolator

  A simplified meands of field calibration or removal of a presco- pressure control switch of pilot under field operating conditions. The presco-isolator is supplied with a lockable operating handle and is available in a wide variety of end connections and trims.

• Safety Systems-presco Dyne Hydraulic Self Contained Surface Safety Valve Actuation System

  A compact, hydraulic self-contained surface safety valve actuation system that provides positive actuation of emergency shut down valves under extreme climatic conditions ranging from the high temperatures of the Middle East to the extreme of the Canadian Arctic. Presco Dyne Actuation Systems are available in reverse acting models for rising stem valve applications.

• Safety Systems-presco Pressure Control Pilot

  A pressure responsive 3-way poppet valve, typically used to control actuators on wellhead surface and subsurface safety valves or on pipeline emergency shut down valves. The Presco- Pilot will control either hydraulic or pneumatic systems.

• Safety Systems-presco Tee

  A one-piece flow line element that is bolted to the emeregency shutdown valve for convenient mounting of a Presco-Pressure control Switch or Pilot. The Presco Switch or Presco Pilot can be connected to the emergency shutdown valve via the Presco Tee at Barbers' assembly facilities to ensure easy, contamination free field installation of the actuation system.

• Safety Systems-presco-pressure Control Switch

  A pressure responsive device that opens or closes one or more integral electrical switches a predetermined set point. The presco-switch will start or stop pump motors and will control valves electrically. The presco-switch is a CSA certified for class 1, group D, hazardous locations and is ideally suited to a wide range of service conditions including high temperature applications.

• Valve Actuators - Ball Valve

  Quarter turn valve actuators, high performance piston - operated hydraulic and pneumatic valve actuators for quarter - turn ball valves. These actuators are available in double acting and spring return configuration for valves ranging from 1 inch to 56 inches.

• Valve Actuators - Reverse Acting

  The Presco Dyne is a compact self-contained hydraulic actuation system that provides positive actuation of emergency shutdown surface safety valves under all climatic conditions with out the need of an outside power source.

• Wellheads - Casing Housings

  Barber Industries SB2 casing housings are based on a straight bore profile with a 45 degree load shoulder. The SB2 is designed to work with either our SB2 (automatic) casing hanger our our SB1 (manual) casing hanger in conjunction with a SB1 primary seal. The SB2 is compatible with the majority of industry commodity casing hangers.

• Wellheads- Adaptor Bonnets

  Barber Industries offers all combinations of API 6A adaptor bonnets from 2, 000 psi to 15, 000 psi and in any size required.

• Wellheads- Casing Hangers & Primary Seals

  Barber Industries SB2 Casing Hangers are based on a straight bore profile with a 45 degree load shoulder. The SB2 is designed to energize under string weight (automatic)and our SB1 (manual) casing hanger in conjunction with a SB1 primary seal is energized manually.

• Wellheads- Gate Valves

  Barber Industries SRE Gate Valve is based on the industry standard expanding gate valve. The SRE valves are available in all sizes from API 2 1/16 to 7 1/16, from 2, 000 to 5, 000 and in any temperature/material requirements that you may have. For higher pressure ratings, Barber Industries SG valve is a slab gate valve and is available in all sizes. The SG valve is designed for 10, 000 psi and 15, 000 psi applications.

• Wellheads- Tubing Heads

  Barber Industries Tubing Heads (Spools) are our SBT (formerly our A) profile as well as our SBS profile for hangers larger than 7' and/or over 10, 000 psi. The secondary prep. on our 5, 000 psi and under is our three piece BP Seal and can be bushed down with our B3O. For higher pressures, Barber uses a type P seal secondary.

  Barber Industries offers all combinations of API 6A Flanged Tees, Studded Tees & Crosses, Tree Caps and Companion Flanges from 2, 000 psi to 15, 000 psi and in any size required.

• Wellheads-tubing Hangers

  Barber Industries has two main tubing hanger styles. Our SBT is a tapered profile for all 7' nom up to 5, 000 psi. Our SBS is a straight profile with a 45 degree load shoulder to handle the sizes over 7' and/or over 5, 000 psi.
