Wire Rope Industries Atlantic Ltd. is a Canadian manufacture and distributor of strand, wire rope and related assemblies.
Our logo represents a stylized section of wire rope. WRI exports its products to several countries around the world.
We are the largest manufacture of wire rope and strand in Canada. WRI is associated with such major projects as Hibernia, James Bay and the Syncrude tar sands as well as the construction of several bridges and structures in Canada and the United States, including Toronto's CN Tower, Hamilton's Trade Center, and inflated-roof stadiums across North America. Our products are also used in the mining, marine, forestry, construction, aeronautics, transportation and fishing industries.
A wide range of products are manufactured and marketed by WRI in Pointe-Claire and in several service centers strategically located across Canada from coast to coast.
At our 7-acre, IS 9001 Manufacturing site in Pte-Claire, PQ (about 305, 000 sq. ft.), we operate the largest strander in the world, manufacturing structural strand and locked coils up to 4' in diameter. Our 120-tonne capacity closing machine is the largest of its type on the American Continent, capable of manufacturing cable-laid rope up to 12' in diameter. Our pre-stretch installation has a 400-tonne capacity and 1, 000 foot bed. We also operate several other types of state-of-art manufacturing equipment.
WRI Atlantic is part of the secondary manufacturing/distribution group and supplies products and services to the Offshore Oil, Mining, Utility, Logging and Fishing Industries. The Atlantic region has one service center located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Our current operations cover over 24, 000 sq. Ft. and our equipment includes a 1500 ton National Hydraulic Pressand a 300, 000 lb. Proof Test Bed.
In addition Dartmouth has a full range of cutting, reeling and coiling equipment. We source our products and services from only qualified suppliers, including WRI's manufacturing facility in Pte-Claire.
