Also known as URL Forwarding, forwards all domain traffic to
another existing website.
Domain Gripping
Domain Gripping creates an 'invisible' frame that holds
('grips') the desired URL, while displaying the content of the
site being forwarded to. The domain name is forwarded to an
existing website and a visitor's browser displays the domain
name in the address bar rather than the existing website's URL.
Gripping is perfect for those who have a long and difficult-to-
remember web-address.
Ip Pointing
IP pointing enables you to point your domain name to a specific
static IP address (your IP address remains the same every time
you go on the internet).
Full Or Primary Dns Service
Webnames.ca will operate the primary and secondary nameservers
for your domain.
For each domain name, you can specify up to 100 hostnames e.g.
www.your-domain.ca, members.your-domain.ca, ftp.your-domain.ca
For each hostname, you may specify the following information:
1. IP address or addresses ('A' records)
2. Mail exchange information to indicate the identity of the
domain's mailserver or mailservers ('MX' records)
3. Alias for some other hostname ('CNAME' records)
4. Choose domain forwarding or domain gripping for your hostname
(s).
Secondary Dns Service
For customers who are operating their own primary nameserver and
want to split up their primary and secondary nameserver to
increase reliability, Webnames.ca will operate the secondary
nameserver on their behalf.
