Company Overview
Our goal is to coordinate and facilitate the development of a Native Gathering Centre for the purpose in addressing the cultural, social, economic, health, educational and legal needs of the off Reserve Native groups within the Algoma District.
Presently, the Wawa Native Network has the Nbwaakaawin Community Action Program for Children 0-6 years of age and the Zaagidwin Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program for pre and post natal families.
CAP-C and CPNP develops programs to enhance Cultural Development and Retention, Childhood Development and Nutrition, Parenting and Caretaking Skills and Community Development. Programs are intended to address the physical, spiritual, mental emotional and intuitive well being of all individuals through the Medicine Wheel approach.
