  Waterworks Technologies through its subsidiary Alpac (Malaysia) has combined dissolved air flotation and other physio-chemical processes with the Waterworks Trickling Filter Extended Aeration System (TFEA) biological treatment to create an excellent system for the treatment of latex and textile industry wastewaters.

  The Waterworks TFEA (Trickling Filter Extended Aeration System) is a combined fixed-film/suspended growth aerobic process developed in conjunction with the National Research Council of Canada and proven in numerous full scale installations in North America and Asia.

  The TFEA system is compact with very small operating foot print and has exhibited the ability to handle very high strength wastewaters with BOD loadings of up to 15, 000 mg/L. The Waterworks TFEA has been installed at several beverage facilities in North America where it has provided BOD reductions of up to 95% and has shown the ability to handle shock loadings and highly variable BOD loadings.

  The TFEA system has also proven itself on other industrial wastewaters.
