Stormwater Management Stormwater Management ensures that proposed development plans do not compromise watershed sustainability in terms of water quantity and quality. Watercom Engineering has delivered cost effective and innovative solutions, based on Best Management Practices (BMP), for a wide range of land development and highway construction projects, consisting of the following projects components. o Stormwater management planning, modelling and design o Master drainage plans o Watershed and subwatershed management plans o Master servicing and functional servicing plans o Urban, rural, and agricultural drainage o Erosion and sediment control o Stream rehabilitation and erosion control strategies o Flood risk mapping, flood remediation plans & flood control o Stormwater drainage and pond retrofits

Wastewater Management o Municipal wastewater treatment plant design o Industrial wastewater treatment process design o Design of combined (sanitary and storm) sewer systems o Language translation of World Bank projects, related to wastewater management, for funding purposes

Stream Hydraulics And Bridge Design The design of various hydraulic structures and/or analysis of existing systems is required during various project activities. Watercom Engineering has assisted in many such aspects, including the calibration of hydraulic and hydrologic models based on flow monitoring results. We have been involved in the following project tasks. o Design of flow channels, weirs, orifices and other hydraulic structures o Hydraulic analyses and design of water courses, bridges and culverts o Stream encroachment analyses o Statistical analyses of measured flow rates

Water Distribution Systems Design Watercom Engineering provides engineering services related to water supply and distribution in rural and urban areas. We assist our clients during all phases of project development including planning, feasibility studies, design and construction. Typical types of projects are listed below. o Master planning studies (supply, storage and distribution) o Design of storage systems (elevated and inground) o Design of trunk mains and pumping stations o Transient pressure (water hammer) analyses o Water distribution infrastructure studies and assessments

Software Development And Training Watercom Engineering has developed numerous hydrologic, hydraulic and environmental modelling tools in support of our design activities. We can assist you in the development of stand-alone computer programs and other information technologies. The following list summarizes typical software-related services which we provide. o Development of computer models in C++ and Visual Basic o Development of spreadsheet solutions for design purposes o Database development and model calibration o Practical training in the application of various water-related software packages

Language Translation Services Translation of technical and non-technical documents from and into most European languages.
