In 1999 Virtual Art Inc. won the Island Tel Innovation Fund Award for presentation of Canadian culture through innovative new technology. This award has allowed us to recreate Province House and Great George St. circa 1864 in a 3D environment for the internet and CD rom. This project includes Canadian Historical information presented in a bilingual, interactive setting. Avatars in period costume represent the user in the 3D VRML world which is also enhanced with chat, video, audio, photos, text, java and javascript.
