Along with its sister company, Valon Kone of Lohja, Finland, VK
Brunette is the world's largest manufacturers of ring debarkers. In addition to its Kodiak debarker, Valon Kone Brunette
manufactures high quality wood chipping, wood grinding and log
handling equipment.
Independently owned and operated, Valon Kone Brunette has been
serving the North American forest industry since 1942. There
are 100 employees in total working at the New Westminster
location and at branch offices in Prince George, BC,
Mississauga, ON and Ball Ground, GA.
Valon Kone Brunette and our European partners exchange technical
information gained from our extensive international experience,
and a joint research and development plan (roughly three
percent of the annual sales is directed to R&D) ensures Valon
Kone Brunette is able to serve its customers with the most
technically advanced debarkers on the market.
There are Valon Kone debarkers operating in more than fifty
countries; in sawmills, plywood and veneer mills, chip plants
and OSB board plants. The new line of Kodiak debarkers is
specifically designed to suit the ever increasing demand of the
