VIQ Solutions Inc. was formed in 2004 and, as part of a Plan of Arrangement approved on December 23, 2004, acquired the intellectual property and assets of VoiceIQ Inc. together with associated contractual obligations and liabilities. VIQ also hired all of the non-management personnel of VoiceIQ Inc. at that time. VoiceIQ had been a world leader in computer-based digital audio capture and management for over 20 years.
