UBC Media Graphics and Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC)
The Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC) at the University of British Columbia is funded by the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Science Competition and Enterprise. The centre fosters research in the areas of computer graphics and animation, human computer interaction and multipmedia. Typical examples include multi-media, computer animation, 3-D modelling, biomedical imaging and visualization, interactive video disc applications, hypermedia, computer music and computer speech recognition and synthesis.
