Founded in January 1991, Tribospec Corporation has grown from 13 employees to 50. Won Award for 50 best managed private companies in 1995 and 1996. Has been registered ISO 9002 in July 1997, and ISO 9001-94 since 2000.

Tribospec Corporation was incorporated in October 1990 to manufacture and market a large full slate of lubricants and specialty products under the CHEVRON label, its own TRIBOSPEC brand and private label. It has grown to be the second largest independent lubricants manufacturer in Canada.

It exploits a blending and packaging plant in Montreal and storage and distribution facilities in Toronto and Quebec city. Products manufactured are lubricants and specialty process oils for industrial and consumer applications, destined for the following industries:

Tribospec Corporation blends lubricants in bulk and packages into various economic package sizes to meet market demands. It packages and markets Chevron branded products in the Eastern Canadian market. It also has Canadian sales and distribution rights with Calumet Lubricants of Indianapolis, USA for a line of naphthenic process oils and lubricants. A large line of lubricants and specialty products are also manufactured and marketed under its own label.

Technical, sales, marketing and business expertise are in- house. Its principals have over one hundred (100) years of combined experience in the lubricants industry. On staff are engineers and chemists. Research and development, and Quality Assurance are done in-house. Its greatest strength is its professionalism and expertise. Canadian content of its operations are over 60%.

SALES AND MARKETING ACTIVITIES:

The majority of products are sold in the province of Quebec and Eastern Ontario. Sales into Central Ontario, Atlantic Provinces and Northeastern USA are being developed, they currently represent approx. 10 % of sales. Distributors and partners are being developed to expand sales beyond traditional markets. Trading on our technical expertise and applications knowledge, sales have increased 12 % annually since 1990.
