The Orthoshop was established in May 1980 as a Division of McMurchy-Warne Surveys (Alberta) Ltd.
Our objective is to provide a specialized service in high quality orthophoto and photogrammetric products to our clients.
Since incorporation, the Company has expanded its operations and professional base considerably. We act as consultants and inspectors to government, and the private sector, on mapping specifications and standards. We have participated in major foreign and domestic mapping and orthophoto contracts ranging from cadastre mapping to oil and gas exploration.
Our staff represents a cross-section of experience, training and professional capabilities in photogrammetry, survey engineering, land information systems and cartography. This, in conjunction with the most modern photogrammetric equipment available in the world today, enables The Orthoshop to offer comprehensive services to our clients.
The Orthoshop is currently working towards ISO 9000 certification

Our photogrammetric departments use 13 fully analytical Leica stereo work stations to capture digital data. This data is edited on one of our eight CAD stations for input to either CAD or GIS systems.
Digital orthopho is generated using the Helava, hard copy produced on a Linotype high resolution image setter.
Softcopy digital orthophoto is generated using the Helava system and the hard copy to produced on a Linotype high resolution imagesetter.
Aerial photography and mapping services are provided in southwestern United States and Mexico, by our SanLo Aerial Surveys division in San Diego, California, using F. M. C. cameras with GPS systems.
