The Base Mapping Co. Ltd. is a member of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors, providing services in the field of digital photogrammetry. The dedicated and highly skilled staff has enabled the Company to complete projects throughout Canada, the United States and the Cayman Islands.

The Company provides services in the fields of aerial photography, GPS control surveys, digital topographic mapping, digital terrain modeling and geographic information data bases. Numerous projects have been completed for municipal, provincial and federal governments, the engineering and surveying communities, mineral exploration and mining companies, utilities and industrial companies.

Professional affiliations include the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing; the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors; and the Geomatics Industry Association of Canada.

TYPICAL PROJECTS/CLIENTS Services for the provision of GPS second order integrated horizontal control survey and monumentation, vertical control survey and monumentation, aero- triangulation, digital elevation modeling and vertical contour generation, coding of geographic data, interactive editing of plan and profile drawings, integration of survey fabric and planimetric mapping. Colour aerial photography, 3rd order horizontal and vertical control survey and digital topographic mapping at 1: 500 (in AutoCAD, DWG and MicroStation, DGN format) for engineering design of water supply systems, sewer trunk line and road construction. Ontario Basic Mapping Program (1: 2, 000 scale) for various municipalities. Services were for both digital mapping and analogue mapping (approximately fifty 1: 2, 000 map sheets). Canada/Ontario Flood Damage reduction Program. Services provided were GPS control surveys, vertical control surveys, and digital topographic mapping at 1: 2, 000. Mineral Exploration and Mining Mapping Services provided:

orthophoto mapping and digital terrain modeling at map scale 1: 5, 000. Federal Government 1: 50, 000 National Topographic Series mapping. Services provided: monochrome mapping using digital mapping and automated scribing methods. Cartographic colour mapping revision of various 1: 50, 000 NTS map sheets. Intergraph drawing files for GIS data base. Services provided:

digital topographic mapping and interactive editing.
