Barcode Masters is an Edmonton based company which has been
producing barcode labels since 1990. They are the largest company
of their type in Western Canada and have built a strong domestic
market. In part, this has been the result of larger companies and
governments looking to the private sector to provide specialized
assistance. The company is also very competitive in it price
structuring and has developed its own niche market. This market
consists of libraries, for which they are an exclusive supplier
of photographically printed barcode labels.
Some efforts have been made to break into the U.S. market but
success has been limited. The company is looking for U.S. distri-
bution channels in the form of resellers and agents.
