Cesium products Pollucite ore, 24% Cs2O Cesium Formate 83% solution is a clear, water white product with low viscosity and a specific gravity of 2.3. Its target use is a drilling fluid for all stages of oil and gas exploration and deep well development (>15, 000 ft.) especially in environmentally sensitive areas.
Lithium products Spodumene high-grade concentrate, 7.25% Li2O -200 mesh spodumene concentrate, 7.10% Li2O Glassmakers grade concentrate, 6.8% Li2O Spodulite concentrate, 5.25% Li2O Montebrasite concentrate 7% Li2O, 8% P2O5
Montebrasite is a new product, for use in clay bodies to reduce firing temperature.
Spodumene is used in pyroceramics, specialty glasses, frits and glazes, continuous steel casting powders and traditional Japanese "cooking pots".
Tantalum concentrates, 38% Ta2O5 High quality capacitors is the major single use for tantalum, accounting for 70% of the total consumption of tantalum in Japan, 50% of the total in the U. S. A., and 25% in Europe. Tantalum carbide is used for the production of hardmetal alloys for cutting tools. Other tantalum alloys are important constituents of aero engines, and for acid resistant pipes and tanks used in the chemical industry. Tantalum is also used in the medical industry. Tantalum "pins" are used in such areas as hip-joint replacements, as it is the only metal not rejected by body fluids.
