System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval is the electronic system of filing Canadian disclosure documents. Developed by the CSA (Canadian Securities Administrators), SEDAR Filing came into effect January 1 1997, and is now mandatory for most public companies and mutual funds in Canada. SEDAR was developed to facilitate the following:
- Electronic filing of securities information (prospectuses, continuous disclosure documents, etc.) and the payment electronically of CSA filing fees as required by the securities regulatory authorities in Canada;

The System for Electronic Disclosure by Insiders (SEDI) is the insider trade reporting system available over the internet at www. sedi. ca. SEDI requires insiders to file electronically their insider reports, and issuers to file electronically certain information, over the internet using the SEDI web site. The public will also be able to search for and look at public information filed on SEDI over the same web site.
