New varieties are developed at the research facility outside of
London , Ontario, in collaboration with the global
research network of Syngenta Seeds Inc. Seed is multiplied,
bagged and sold through an extensive network of farm dealers
throughout Canada. Syngenta Seeds Inc. focuses its effort on
developing early varieties particularly suited to the northern
areas of Canada and the world.

The most significant recent development is the incorporation of
the new technology of genetic engineering as a tool to develop
superior performing varieties.
