Project lead on the assessment of the potential outcomes, implications and response options of a pending CRTC Price Caps Decision for a major Canadian carrier Project lead on the preparation of a user needs and engineering assessment proposal for a state-wide public safety radio system, and Assessment (needs, options, costs, recommendations) of the Public Safety mobile radio services utilized by a major Atlantic Canadian City. The assessment, driven by user/union complaints, was presented to and accepted by user representatives, the service provider and City Council. Directed an interdepartmental and multi-organizational team of more than 100 members implementing a Province-wide TMR (Trunked Mobile Radio) system ($100 million agreement for network & user radios) on time, within budget to service Nova Scotias 4500+ Public Safety and Public Service users. (2001 Technology in Government Medal in the Unique Achievement category.) Managed Aliants proposal team, negotiated and implemented a $6.5 million Agreement for the provision of TMR and Wireless data services for the City of Fredericton. Directed the re-negotiation of the e911 emergency reporting system agreement with the Province of Nova Scotia, annual revenues of $1.5 million. Proposed, negotiated and implemented a TMR service Halifax Regional Police. Value $1.0m+. Launched a province-wide commercial TMR service increasing 2001 annual revenue by over $0.5m. Primed successful (on time and budget) participation in the $3 million project Initiation Phase of the joint Province of Nova Scotia and MTT IWAN (Integrated Wide Area Network) Project. The Initiation Phase established the business, technology and economic development strategy for the Project. Project Director and lead negotiator for the successful TMR bid, $100 + million over 10 years.
