Consulting Services
Standard offers a wide variety of material supply consulting
services to clients such as developers, project managers,
architects, engineers, project managers, builders and
construction supply centres. Advice on product specifications,
project timing, product substitution, building codes, product
certification requirements and related product to project supply
issues can be addressed as part of a supply contract. This
ensures the client is matched with the best combinations of
product materials and appropriate delivery schedules to minimize
supply administrative costs and maximize project scheduling
logistics.
Project Estimating
Standard has a team of engineers and project estimating
professionals available to quote on building and construction
projects. The team can accurately estimate the amount, type and
cost of materials needed to complete projects from drawings,
blueprints or material lists.
Engineered Wood Products
Standard has staff on hand to assist in utilization and
estimating of engineered wood products such as structural beams,
fibre strand board and fingered jointed studs. They can source
these materials from any of the manufacturers chosen for your
particular project.
Product Shipment Packaging
Standard has an experienced shipping staff that specializes in
packaging product shipments for international delivery. The
packaging crew use the latest shipment packaging techniques and
materials to protect shipments of all shapes and sizes. There
is a quality control system in place including a digital
photography backup system to ensure clients can visually receive
confirmation of particular shipments. They have a fleet of
trucks and centralized shipping system that can quickly assemble
a shipment from various suppliers for international delivery.
Container Facilities
Standard has a facility and building designed specifically for
the packaging, loading and shipment of containers to
international markets. They can handle several shipments at
once and can adjust container packaging and loading to
accommodate rush orders and mixed shipments from other suppliers.
Re-manufacturing Services
Standard can accommodate custom orders by stocking specialty
items and providing pre-staining and pressure treatment of wood
products. Special wood dimensioning, cutting and trimming can
be completed at the Standard's yard prior to shipment.
