Sonic has developed and proven a proprietary process for the remediation of soils contaminated with Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB). Our process is operated on-site, eliminating the cost and risk of transporting PCB contaminants over long distances. The Sonic process utilizes our unique Platform Technology which produces sonic energy on an industrial scale. The process removes and destroys PCB contaminants, yielding remediated soil which can be used as clean fill. The main by-product of our process is spent solvent which may be used as a low grade fuel oil. Sonics process offers an affordable green solution to the problems of PCB contaminated soils and is designed as a practical and economic solution for this multi-billion dollar global environmental liability issue. Our process also remediates soils containing chlorinated organics such as solvents, preservatives and pesticides. Our process can also be used to destroy PCBs in oil.
