Servco Environmental Solutions Inc.
SESI was established in the mid 1980's in response to the growing need for environmental services throughout Atlantic Canada. By combining years of experience with training in the most modern pollution control methods and emergency response procedures, SEI is able to offer an environmentally sound, cost effective method of dealing with all types of pollution situations.
SEI's early experience entailed the construction, installation and maintenance of fuel piping and storage systems for gas stations and bulk storage sites within Atlantic Canada. A natural progression for SEI was to advance from the petroleum construction industry to an organization capable of responding to oil and chemical spills that occurred at many of these facilities, as well as the subsequent remediation of those contaminated sites. Since that time SEI has grown to the point of being able to provide many of the other management and operational services required in dealing with environmental contamination. SEI now provides Newfoundland and Labrador's only private dedicated emergency response for oil and chemical spills, as well as the Province's first private dedicated spill line (1-877-772-2083). SEI is also the contractor representative for Transportation Emergency Action Plan (TEAP) and the Canadian Chemical Producers Association (CCPA) for the Province and a member of the Canadian Emergency Response Services (CERSA). SEI's most recent accomplishment has been its certification as Atlantic Canada's only dedicated response group with an Emergency Response Assistance Plan (ERAP) number, from Transport Canada.

24 Hour Emergency Spill Response Services For All Form Of Hazardous Or Dangerous Goods.
SEI operates the Province's only private dedicated emergency response service to oil and chemical spills. Transport Canada recognizes SEI as a responder to all classes of dangerous goods through the issuance of an Emergency Response Assistance Plan number (ERP-2-1477); the only Atlantic Canada based company to have its own.
As a member of the CERSA group, SEI has the ability to stabilize, mitigate, and remediate environmental releases of all classes of dangerous goods. These capabilities have been gained through extensive experience and training nationally and internationally. SEI also represents and responds for the CCPA and TEAP.
SEI operates to NFPA 472 technician standards and maintains senior levels of additional training from Emergency Measures Organization, Briggs Marine Environmental Services Ltd., Environment Canada, Canadian Coast Guard, and the USEPA.
Sesi Provides Non-intrusive Remediation Of Complex Hydrocarbon Spills.
In the event of the release of hydrocarbons into the environment, SEIS has the ability to respond to the site, stabilize the situation, mitigate the spill, and remediate in-situ. Through bioenhancement techniques, SEI is able to encourage certain types of indigenous micro-organisms, present in oily soil and water, to rapidly expand in population. The natural organisms pursue the hydrocarbons as a food source, digest it and leave a residue that promotes and accelerates the remediation process.
The indigenous micro-organisms pose no threat to soil or ground water. Once the hydrocarbon food source has been consumed, the micro-organisms return to normal population levels. The application of SEI's processes is site specific and determined by the type and extent of the contaminated area.
SESI's processes are formulated to remediate hydrocarbon contaminated soils within 21 to 45 days. Final testing is conducted at 60 days after treatment to confirm that sites are remediated to DOEL standards. SESI guarantees remediation test samples will satisfy DOEL criteria.
