Share the unique tastes of New Brunswick. A delectable combination of Maritime Lobster Antipasto and marinated New Brunswick Fiddleheads.
Antipasto literally means, 'before the meal or main course.' Use it on crackers as an hors d' oeuvre; an appetizer served on a bed of lettuce with breadsticks; on mini pitas sprinkled with cheese and melted; or, as our two sons do, eat it right out of the jar. Zesty Antipasto is a spicier version or our 'Original Antipasto'. Not too hot, just a little 'Zesty'.
Blueberries grow in great abundance in Atlantic Canada. Our jam brings back sweet memories of Grammas kitchen, watching her make blueberry grunt, pies and preserves and secretly popping the berries into our mouths. Wonderful on toast, warm scones, waffles or English muffins.
A wonderful mixture of fruits aged to perfection in brandy and sherry. It can be enjoyed in tarts or pies, however, it is exquisite as a topping for ice cream or cheese cake. Warm a few tablespoons and pour over your favorite ice cream or cheese cake and be a little decadent. Wow!
A Fiddlehead is the unfurled frond of an Ostrich Fern. It gets its name from the close resemblance to the tuning end of a fiddle. To quote Time Canada The Fiddlehead is to New Brunswick what the Maple Leaf is to Canada. Ours are pickled and can be eaten as they are or try them heated.
Jalepeno peppers give the zest to this sweet, hot jelly. It is an attractive and easy addition to your party table served over cream cheese surrounded by an assortment of crackers. Try basting chicken breasts with jelly in the last few minutes of cooking.
This is a true 'gourment' treat. Antipasto literally means, 'before the meal or main course.' Use it on crakers as an hors d' oeuvre; an appetizer served on a bed of lettuce with breadsticks; on mini pitas sprinkled with cheese and melted; or, as our two sons do, eat it right out of the jar. Lobster Antipasto is an upscale version of our 'Original' antipasto, the same great taste with an additional treat of Maritime lobster!
Chutney is a sweet and sour preserve or condiment that combines fruits, vegetables and dried fruits. Our combination of mangos, peaches, onions, raisins, lemons, limes and oranges is a great accompaniment to curry, meat, fish and chicken dishes. Try as a snack with cheese and crackers or add sour cream, yogurt or cream cheese and use as a dip or spread.
An attractive bag holds four (4) spice sachets plus 2 recipes to guide you in preparing a wonderful drink of mulled cider or mulled wine. Our secret blend of spices and fruits can be used more than once to provide many delightful drinks. When you think you have used them to the max pop the sachets into a pot of boiling water and enjoy the aroma in your home.
Partridgeberries are wild berries unique to the cold, rocky terrain of Newfoundland. They have a tangy flavour. Try serving this jam as a cheese cake topping. It is also delicious on warm scones or biscuits topped with fresh, whipped cream.
Red bell peppers gives a delightfully assertive flavour to this gourment jelly. Serve it as an accompaniment to meats or as a topping for crackers spread with cream cheese. Draw raves by basting chicken breasts, ribs, wings and shrimp with this hot, sweet tasting jelly.
The wine lovers in your circle will enjoy this full-flavoured ruby coloured jelly. It is excellent served with all cheese and superb with roast beef, lamb or steak. Let your senses be tantalized as you open the jar and the full bodied bouquet is released. Sinfully decadent on warm biscuits or scones.
Our gourmet salsa is hard to beat with its fresh, authentic Mexican flavour. We make it in three degrees of heat for your enjoyment.
This is a different rendition of cranberries done with cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
