The Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre has served First Nations people since 1972. The Centre is an incorporated non-profit institution of the Federation Saskatchewan Indian Nations. It is managed by a Board of Governors comprised of representatives from each of the Tribal Councils within the province of Saskatchewan. A Traditional Council of Elders, representing the eight language/cultural groups, advise and guide the Centre in its' activities. The Centre continues to strive to maintain the cultural identity of the Saskatchewan First Nations: Woodland Cree, Swampy Cree, Plains Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota and Lakota. The Centre produces educational and cultural materials for community and non-Aboriginal applications. A brochure detailing its programs and services is available upon request.
