Saddle Tech. Inc. manufactures an alternative to concrete
pipeline weight at it's Athabasca, Alberta manufacturing site.
This product has numerous advantages over concrete in that it
will conform to all types of pipe (steel, plastic, fiberglass)
and will fit more than one size of pipe. A dramatic reduction of
damage to the pipe coating and easier installation greatly
reduces the cost of installing this product. The major sales of
this product are to oil and gas production companies and their
contractors.
Current Geographical Marketing Activity
Saddle Tech. Inc. currently markets in Canada only. Ninety-five
percent of current sales occur in northern Alberta. This is
primarily due to only operating a new business through one
construction cycle. Product is manufactured and shipped from the
Athabasca, Alberta plant site. Saddle Tech. Inc. is also
participating in their own booth at the National Oilfield Show in
Calgary, June 2000.
Geographical Marketing Strategies
Saddle Tech. Inc. feels that its product can be marketed on a
worldwide basis. The priority markets are felt to be U.S.A.,
India, South America and South East Asia. The company is
interested in technology transfer to other countries as well as
joint ventures.
