Rivtow began in 1939 as the River Towing Company of British
Columbia; a family company with a single boat engaged in towing
logs for the forest industry.

With over sixty years of successful seagoing experience, and
still going strong, we are the same family company with a
somewhat wider base of activities.

Rivtow has prospered by providing superior service to its
customers in every area of its operations.

We believe our success has a lot to do with our admitted old

Log Barging Rivtow operates 3 self loading - self dumping log barges on the west coast of British Columbia, Alaska, Washington and Oregon.

Chip Bin Barge Towing Rivtow operates 43 chip bin barges to transport sawmill by-products wood chips and sawdust to pulp mills on the west coast of British Columbia.
