Rodlin Instruments Inc. is a Canadian privately owned company
formed in 1984 to provide a subcontract electronic design and
manufacturing service to other industry. The primary business
activity for the past 10 years has been the supply of photo
electric sensing and conveyor control components to manufac-
turers of retail checkout counters.

The development and on-site testing of a new and unique photo
controller for retail checkstands has been recently completed.
This product has electrical certification for use in the U.S
and Canada at 120 VAC 60 Hz. and is presently being marketed
in those countries. Minor revisions to the design will render
the product suitable for use at 220 VAC 50Hz. etc.

Patents have been obtained or are currently pending respective
to certain aspects of new technology employed in the product.

The company wishes to expand its market horizons and is now
seeking to identify organizations elsewhere in the world to
act as commissioned sales agents or possibly to manufacture
under license.

Photo Electric Controller For Retail Checkstands
Motor controllers designed for insertion vertically downward into hollow side wall of steel checkout counter include virtually all components necessary for control of one or two conveyors, eg. built in front photo sensor, timing, and motor drive cir- cuitry with capacitors and over current protection. External sensor is optional.
