First incorporated in the US, in 1888, under the name 'Rochester Germicide', a separate Canadian subsidiary, 'Canadian Germicide', was established in 1903. The names of both the parent, and the Canadian subsidiary, were changed to Rochester Midland, in the 1980's, in order to better reflect the expanded scope of the business after the purchase of the Midland Chemical Company. Rochester Midland is a supplier of chemical cleaning, degreasing, deodorizing, floor care, sanitizing and disinfecting, boiler and waste water treatment products to the Institutional and Industrial markets, as well as a supplier of feminine hygiene products to the Canadian vendor market.
Rochester Midland Limited achieved ISO 9000: 2000 certification in April 2003.
