The ASR-10SS and ASR-11 operate in the S-Band and the ASR-23SS in the L-Band. The ASR-10SS and ASR-11 are usually used for approach/departure control at airports. The ASR-11 is a derivative of the ASR-10SS and has been ordered by the US Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Defense for the Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) radar program. Versions of the ASR-10SS and ASR-23SS can be supplied for both civil and military ATC applications.
