Hf Surface Wave Radar
Raytheon's High Frequency Surface Wave Radar sysems detects and
track surface and low level airborne targets from 15 nautical
miles to beyond the 200
nautical mile Exclusive Economic Zone in a 120 degree sector.
The
system has many applications including monitoring of illegal
immigration, illegal fishing, iceberg monitoring, sovereignty
protection, search and rescue, sea state monitoring, resource
protection. It is the principal sensor in Raytheon's Integrated
Maritime Surveillance System (IMSS)

vessel and

The IMS fuzes data from High Frequency Surface Wave Radars and

Primary Surveillance Radar
Raytheon Canada Limited - Waterloo Facility -
produces the ASR-10SS, ASR-23SS and ASR-11 range of solid state
primary surveillance radars. The ASR-10SS and ASR-11 operate in
the S-Band and the ASR-23SS in the L-Band. The ASR-10SS and
ASR-11 are usually used for approach/departure control at
airports. The ASR-11 is a derivative of the ASR-10SS and has
been
ordered by the US Federal Aviation Administration and Department
of Defense for the Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR)
radar program. Versions of the ASR-10SS and ASR-23SS can be
supplied for both civil and military ATC applications.
