Rakhit Petroleum Consulting Ltd.
Rakhit Petroleum Consulting Ltd. (RPCL) has served the oil and
gas industry for 11 years. RPCL staff number 20 and comprise
geologists, hydrogeologists, geochemists, database managers,
computer graphics specialists and conventional technical sup-
port staff. The staff are highly qualified and experienced:
two Ph.D.'s three M.Sc's and nine B.Sc's with combined industry
experience of 170 years. The staff are used to forming into
flexible work groups tailored to the needs of a specific project.
RPCL creates oil and gas exploration and development geology
reports, usually built around a body of maps and cross-sections.
The company has extensive in-house data access, sophisticated GIS
mapping software, and produces very high quality output - in
hard copy and digital format. Their unique specialization is
to integrate subsurface fluid flow and formation fluid chemistry
trends, with a rigorous geological analysis of the hydrocarbon
reservoir.

Trap-map
TRAP-MAP is a proprietary vector mapping procedure pionnered by
RPCL wich can quickly evaluate the petroleum trapping potential
in an area, based on analysis of the reservoir structure, permea-
bility, water flow pattern and petroleum buoyancy
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
A prospect-generating, GIS-based mapping methodology that
evaluates the combined effect of reservoir structure, water
flow and petroleum buoyancy. Scientifically sound algorithm.
Fast, clear and accurate results. Used in oil and gas explo-
ration and development sutdies and for migration simulations.
Hydrogeological Atlas Of The Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
The HYDROGEOLOGICAL ATLAS OF THE WESTERN CANADA SEDIMENTARY
BASIN is the end product of a two year mapping project completed
by RPCL in collaboration with provincial and federal government
agencies. This product is a set of 66 maps and 12 cross-ections
illustrating the hydrogeology of 23 zones from the upper
Cretaceous 'Belly River Group' to the Cambrian 'Deadwood
Sandstone'. The mammoth project area extends from the Yukon
across BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan to Manitoba.
The collection is housed in a map rack and comes with a text
report plus a CD containing the maps as digital surfaces. The
product is also available as a PC desktop version in Acrobat PDF
files.
Description and Application:
Hydrogeologic Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
(WCSB). The fruit of a two-year collaboration between industry
and provincial and federal government agencies to undertake
definitive mapping of the hydrogeology of Western Canada at 1:1
million scale. All hydrogeologic data in western Canada
utilized to create a set of 66 maps and 12 cross-sections
illustrating the hydrogeology of 23 zones for the entire basin.
A key resource for oil and gas exploration and development
studies in western Canada.
Hydrocarbon Atlas Of The Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
THE HYDROCARBON ATLAS OF THE WESTERN CANADA SEDIMENTARY BASIN
is the sister mapping project to the HYDROGEOLOGICAL ATLAS.
Maps are created for 16 oil and gas zones, mapping at a basic
scale of 1:1 million. Maps of Oil Gravity, wet gas, H2S, N2 and
CO2 distributions are included.
Available as a bound atlas or as Acrobat PDF files for easy
access.
Water Resistivity Atlas Of Western Canada
The Water Resistivity Atlas of Western Canada includes 21
hydrostratigraphic map units, from the Upper Belly River to the
Basal Cambrian Sandstone. This product displays water
resistivity (Rw) data for Alberta and northeast British Columbia
taken from RPCL's proprietary GEOFLUIDS database. Only those Rw
values from water analyses screened and classified as true
formation waters were used. This high grade sub-set of
GEOFLUIDS database was then further screened against known water
salinity (TDS) based on the empirically derived power regression
relationship between Rw and TDS. Statistical representations of
the data were also included for each map unit, providing further
evidence for regional trends seen on the map view.
The Water Resistivity Atlas of Western Canada is available in
digital format via Adobe Acrobat portable document files
(.pdf).
Dynamic Migration Model
Dynamic Migration Model is a hydrodynamic basin modeling program
designed to analyze water and petroleum migration patterns with
the intent to identify hydrocarbon charge fairways or shadow
zones. This software is also used to calculate the magnitude of
tilted oil/water contacts.
