Rt9000 Solo - Single Channel Rural Radio Telephone
The RT9000 SOLO is designed to provide cost effective telephone
service into rural areas. Available in VHF and UHF, it links
very remote areas into the National Telephone Network.
RF-TEL's RT9000 series dual channel and RT9000 series Multi
Access Subscriber System (MASS) rural radios are designed and
manufactured to telephone carrier industry standards complying
with DOC, FCC, and CCITT regulations. Using advanced synthesizer
technology, the RF-TEL RT9000 series rural radio provides
reliable single and dual channel telephone service into remote
areas where installation of a hardwired telephone system is
economically unattractive.
The RT9000 is available in the VHF band with variable power
output of 5 to 20 watts and in UHF with power output of 1 to 20
watts. Depending on terrain features and antenna height,
distances of up to 80 kilometers may be covered reliably. Some
of the features are 64 pre-programmed channels, DTMF or Rotary
Dial compatibility, 4W E&M signalling, DTMF inband or 3825Hz out
of band signalling, pay phone operation and adjustable RF power.
The radio system is fully transparent to voice and data and
supports Facsimile transmissions.
A basic system consists of a Central Office unit connected to the
exchange and a Subscriber unit connected to a telephone set at
the remote location, providing the user with normal full duplex
telephone service. The system in effect replaces the normal
hardwiring and provides full duplex telephone service such as
dialing and Tip or Ring ringing for partyline operation.
Rt9000 Mass - Multi Access Rural Radio Telephone
The RT9000 MASS (Multi Access Subscriber System) provides
telephone service to small villages or communities of 5 to 50
subscribers.
