Products

Plasma Arc Waste Destruction System (pawds)

Plasma Resource Recovery (prr) System
PRR is a clean and highly efficient technology used for converting the organic fraction of waste into fuel gas used to produce energy and the inorganic fraction into useful construction materials. The technology has been shown to meet the most stringent environmental requirements and offers excellent economic viability. The PRR technology has been demonstrated technically on the pilot scale at PyroGenesis. PRR is applicable to a wide variety of waste, including Municipal Soild Wast (MSW), hospital and biomedical waste, flamable hazardous waste, automobile shredder residue and others.

Drosrite
DROSRITE is a salt-free process for the recovery of metal from aluminum and zinc drosses. DROSRITE is extremely energy efficient, extracting heat from the energy in the process residue and, thus, it does not require any external heat source such as fossil fuels. Thus, DROSRITE eliminates up to 1.4 tonne of CO2 per tonne of Dross processed.

Plasma Gasification And Vitrification Of Ash (pgva)
The patented PGVA process utilises a DC graphite arc furnace, to generate electric arcs and melt the inorganic portion of ash into an inert slag. In addition, any unburned organic matter is converted into a combustible synthesis gas. The inert slag, similar to a glassy rock slag, is order of magnitudes below TCLP regulated levels. The synthesis gas can be used to produce clean energy. The PGVA unit can be fully integrated with an existing boiler or incinerator, reducing the plasma system investment costs.

High Power Air Plasma Torches
High power air plasma torches are typically used to supply the high temperature necessary for gasification or vitrification of material in waste destruction systems. Torches ranging in power from 50 kW to 1 MW have been designed, fabricated and used for waste treatment.

Compact Coaxial Plasma Spray Torches (miniguns)
PyroGenesis designs and fabricates compact Coaxial Plasma Spray torch, or Minigun, for Atmospheric Plasma Spraying Operations. Using these low power plasma spray torches, powder is injected radially through the side of the plasma stream. In operation since 1995, these torches provide 50 kW of power.

High Enthalpy Plasma Torches
PyroGenesis has developed and patented high enthalpy plasma torches. The power of these torches is sufficient to melt and atomize metal introduced in the form of a rod or a wire into the apex formed by several converging plasma jets. These non-transferred torches run on argon or helium and can provide up to 100 kW of power.
