Construction of Emulsified Asphalt Manufacturing Plants
Since commencement of emulsion manufacture in the 1950s, Pounder Emulsions has designed and constructed all of its manufacturing facilities. This includes the nine emulsified asphalt plants currently in operation. Built to meet the demands of the market, these plants were constructed in a cost- effective manner and allow for easy expansion and efficient operation. Potential opportunities exist for Pounder Emulsions to provide this technology to others wishing to construct similar facilities.
Formulation of Emulsified Asphalts
Current industry standards and specifications in Canada are largely based on the products and formulations developed and successfully marketed by Pounder Emulsions. Pounder Emulsions technical staff continues to create innovative and cost- effective materials for current and potential markets. This expertise also includes the knowledge and ability to formulate emulsions suitable for conditions in other countries using locally available raw materials.
Application and Procedures for the Use of Emulsified Asphalt
Pounder Emulsions senior staff are leaders in the industry in terms of their knowledge of the applications and procedures for the use of emulsified asphalts. The creation and continued expansion of the Western Canadian emulsion market is due to the ability to provide customers with cost-effective solutions, educate contractors in proper construction techniques, and inform roadway officials about the benefits of these materials.
