Ponctuation Grafix specializes in graphic design, web site
development and editing. Our company was incorporated in Canada
on July 5, 1991, and in the United States on February 14, 1996.
We specialize in coordinating a company's web site development
with its print needs brochures, catalogs, corporate reports,
prospectuses, newsletters and logos.
The president of the company, Warren Perley, was a career
journalist for 20 years at major media outlets in North America
before founding Ponctuation Grafix in 1991. He continues to keep
his hand in writing both books and newspaper articles.
The company has also been involved in the writing, design and
layout of several high-end art books in recent years. Aside from
its abilities to write and edit text, one of the features which
sets the company apart is that all its graphic designers are
accomplished illustrators meaning they can produce original
artwork, a skill which is usually sought on a freelance basis in
most graphic design companies.

Concept & Graphic Design

Illustration Our graphic designers are trained in illustration, which gives the client another option besides clip art and photography.

Typesetting We have extensive experience putting together the nuts'n'bolts of clean-looking newspapers and newsletters. Effective typesetting requires a knowledge of structure, typography, grids and balance.

Prepress We emphasize the details involved in prepress operations - scanning, photo and image manipulation, color management, imposition, trapping, format and resolution of images. The objective is to make sure that the client's documents print properly. Faulty prepress can lead to costly production errors.

Print And Film Brokering Although we are not printers and we do not output final films, clients often ask us to broker that part of the job for them to ensure a smooth transition between concept and final product. Montreal, where our main design studio is located, is known as an international printing centre. Prices for films, color keys and printing are among the most competitive in North America, especially for American clients who enjoy the advantage of the strong American dollar.

Ad Copywriting We offer a high degree of expertise in copywriting through the services of Michael Denny. Michael, who works out of the Ponctuation Grafix office in East Hanover N.J., has more than 30 years of copywriting experience. Many of those years were spent with major ad agencies, such as Grey Advertising, Bozell & Jacobs, and Young & Rubicam. Michael is the published author of How to get a Cat to Sit in Your Lap. He conducts corporate writing seminars, teaching conceptual thinking and writing. He is a long-time member of the New Jersey Advertising Club.

Writing & Editing Warren Perley is an accomplished journalist and author who has spent many years as a top editor at major newspapers and news agencies in North America.

Marketing Both Michael Denny and Warren Perley bring a wealth of experience in the marketing domain. As well, all the graphic designers at Ponctuation Grafix have been involved in a wide variety of projects designed to increase the clients' market share.

Media Relations Given Warren Perley's extensive media career, spanning back to 1972, he retains a large network of contacts throughout the world of journalism. Having worked inside for so many years, he understands the symbiotic relationship between subject and journalist.

Web Site Design Ponctuation Grafix offers clients the three elements critical to developing a successful web site - superior text, original graphics and an understanding of the basic components of interface design. Once the web site is developed, we offer maintenance and update packages.

Specialty Products We have in the past produced our own products, including the 1997 World Jazz Calendar and a prototype of an educational board game to teach children good values and the concept of financial planning. We also design and produce exclusive promotional items for clients to give away as a means of extending brand recognition and inducing customer loyalty.
