Philom Bios, established in 1980, is an innovative microbial technology company dedicated to improving plant productivity for farmers through the development, manufacture and marketing of natural microbial products for commercial agriculture.
Our research and development efforts focus on naturally occurring microorganisms which answer growing needs in the marketplace.
Philom Bios has commercialized a number of products. JumpStart - The worlds first commercial phosphate inoculants for use in field crop agriculture.
TagTeam - The worlds first combination phosphate and nitrogen inoculant for pea, lentil, chickpeas, soybeans and dry bean crops.
N-PROVE - A line of pre-formulated rhizobium inoculants for all major legumes.
Philom Bios is constantly seeking new development, manufacturing and marketing opportunities for microbial products through strategic alliances.

N-Prove is the nitrogen inoculant. On soils low in available nitrogen and high in available phosphate, N-Prove will deliver excellent nitrogen fixation and higher yields. The active ingredients in N-Prove, naturally occurring rhizobia bacteria, colonize legume plant roots and form root nodules that convert or fix nitrogen from the air into forms the plants can use.
TagTeam is the phosphate and nitrogen inoculant. On soils low to medium in available phosphate and nitrogen, TagTeam will deliver a healthy vigorous crop and excellent nitrogen fixation for higher yields.
TagTeam has two active ingredients: the naturally occurring soil fungus Penicillium bilai, which solubilizes mineral forms of less available residual soil phosphate making them immediately available for crop use; and the naturally occurring bacterium Rhizobium leguminosarum, which forms root nodules that convert or fix nitrogen from the air into forms the plants can use.
TagTeam, the world's first combination microbial seed inoculant, was discovered and developed in Western Canada through collaborative Agriculture Canada and Philom Bios research.
